Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
